Answer:battery yes. I haven't seen a canvas roof available anywhere.

Question:Can a 12 year old drive this?

Answer:NO. It's rated @ 16 & up & yes Driver License knowledge is Recommended

Question:How many miles to the gallon does this get on average with an adult rider?

Answer:I have not measured it yet... But I will say I drive it alot on my Property "Yard" & I have not filled it up in 1 Week

Question:How well will it hold up in a hot area like in texas will it heat up

Answer:It uses a 125cc air cooled motorcycle engine, so I would think as long as it is moving it would be fine. We ran ours on 100 degree days with no problem.

Answer:Motor preassembled. You have to put wheels, transmission linkage, front and rear bumper, side step bars. spare tire holder and spare tank holder and windshield
